Immunization Records

Beginning in the fall academic term, students attending or visiting Northeastern University’s U.S. campuses will be expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the first day of classes. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. Students should complete the Vaccine Verification form to submit their proof of immunization.

These COVID-19 protocols and requirements may be revised, and we will continue to update the community as Northeastern continues to meet the needs of the global university. Please also check Northeastern’s Coronavirus Guide for frequently asked questions.

New Student Orientations

Welcome New Students!

Orientations help you get ready to make the most of your graduate school experience and Northeastern University in San Francisco. All students are required to complete the orientations that pertain to them. These sessions are delivered virtually and are designed to help new students learn about the campus, university resources, and other pertinent information.

There are three types of New Student Orientations:

  • Campus Orientation (for all students)
  • College Orientation (for your specific program)
  • International Student Orientation (for all international students)

The San Francisco Campus Orientation will open Monday, August 1, 2022 and run until classes start. You will receive an email from Hing Potter, Assistant Director of Student Services, with information about how to access this orientation. All new students are expected to complete orientation before starting classes at Northeastern. If you have trouble accessing the online orientation or have questions, please reach out to Hing at [email protected].

College Orientation
The College of Engineering, College of Professional Studies, and Khoury College of Computer Sciences each host their own college-specific orientation with specific information on classes, advising, and resources. Contact your Academic Advisor for more information.

The date for International Student Orientation is still being determined. You will receive an email from [email protected] with information about how to access this Orientation. F-1 students starting their degree program are required to attend International Student Orientation. This presentation will cover topics including immigration documents, how to maintain status throughout your program, the basics behind employment while on F-1 status, and more.

For U.S. visa holders who are studying on another visa classification other than F-1, you are not required to attend this Orientation but you are required to complete a form to confirm your visa documentation to the Office of Global Services (OGS), linked here.
